The history of the bakery Haverland can be traced back to 1570. Jörgen Haverland founded his company by baking only one type of bread - a snail. The recipe and the number of breads were not initially changed by his successors. In the mid-1980s, Yuchin Haverland took over the bakery business and then expanded it to 19 different types of bread. Today, you can bake whole bread in one of Germany's oldest bakeries and still the Westphalian Racket - and still under the law of the Haverland Pestante. In 2010, Kuchenmeister GmbH acquired the traditional Haverland bakery from bankruptcy and achieved long-term sustainability.
