Marcel's is described as a boulangerie , patisserie and bistro - inspired by Marcel La Roux's continuing journey of gastronomic inspirations from around the world. Marcel was born to a baker, in a family that prided itself on providing baked treats to the citizens of Paris. The family bakery, Boulangerie de Joie; was known in Paris for delicious breads, macarons and crepes. At the age of 18, fascinated by the stories of the patron, Monsieur Cavalier; Marcel embarked on a magnificent journey savoring pastas in Italy and churros in Spain. He caught Barracudas with fishermen in Morocco and learnt how to cook tangine in Tunisia.
