When I visit a tourist destination, I look for a good local restaurant. One that may attract tourist, but is filled with local customers who know where to get a good meal. That was my first indication of Nia Lola, tables of locals having a good time with nary a tourist. The meat is grilled on a "legendary spit", or so the menu states. Whatever the case, you can see the hot charcoal fire as you enter the dining room, smell the food cooking, and savor the aromas as you ponder which meat you want for yourself. Complementary appetizer and dessert are included in each meal. The second floor dining room is the best spot to people watch and chat up the townsfolk.
