The PURE SEAFOOD COMPANY LTD was established on the 15th February 2011 by members of the TABOR family. The TABOR family has a long history in the fish trade dating back to when YEOMAN TABOR started farming oysters in Brightlingsea, Essex in 1520. In 1860 the business moved to London and on the 25th September 1907 the directors of George Tabor Limited, Janet and her two sons Joe and Harold, established The Pure Oyster Company to promote the sale of 'purified' oysters through the newly developed purification tank system. From our premises in Pudding Lane, London, close to the original Billingsgate Market, we expanded into the import and export of fish and were able to supply fishmongers throughout the UK. We also began to supply hotels and restaurants with the finest quality fish and shellfish which we still do to this day.
