Alberto Barroso came to Montreal in the 1950s and decided to provide for his family by working in the restaurant industry. Speaking only his native Portuguese, he decided to open his own restaurant. Over the years, he transmitted his passion for Portuguese cuisine to his children, who are continuing the tradition to this day with Le Grill Barroso.
