One of Plovdiv's older restaurants in the building of a Mediaeval Dervish monastery, featuring uniquely furnished and decorated dining rooms and large walled gardens. On one level the outdoor cafe features wrought iron garden furniture in a paved courtyard while below that a typical Bulgarian-style 'mehana' (tavern) has a large and leafy garden. Wall paintings show traditional scenes from life in the Old Town and a lovely portrayal of the whirling dervishes that used to entertain here. Food is international, with an emphasis on fresh fish. Welcome and enjoy!
