COFFEE, COFFEE AND STORE WITH LOCAL PRODUCTS Café Vaabengaard Gilleleje is a small café located in the middle of the harbor in the original horse stable of the Customs House and has a unique view of the fishing port from the terrace, balcony and indoors on the first floor. Brunch with gourmet delicatessen from Meat Carpenter, selected cheeses and homemade bread is served. The breakfast includes on local herring, rye bread sandwich with hand peeled shrimp and large, fresh salads. The café offers gluten-free options. Emphasis is placed on good quality raw materials from primarily Danish and, as far as possible, local quality producers in North Zealand. Café Vaabengaard Gilleleje is therefore a member of the network for quality producers and food storytellers “Taste on North Zealand”. Cafe Vaabengaard Gilleleje is also the coffee shop with freshly roasted beans from Strandvejsristeriet at Kronborg Castle. Enjoy the hot coffee for homemade cake, cookies, croissants, cream buns or selected chocolates from the Jota chocolate workshop. We also offer organic juices and soft drinks, special beers from eg. Hornbears and selected wines. In the shop at Cafe Vaabengaard you will find a small selection of local quality products from a number of the skilled producers from "Taste in North Zealand".
