Independently opened by a group of friends in 2005, Bedford & Strand was a bar, wine room and bistro serving traditional British and French dishes; rated by top-critic Fay Maschler amongst her annual Top-20 Openings of the Year, it’s been perennially busy since. Customers cenjoyed a broad, carefully selected wine-list with twenty or so wines available by the glass, carafe and bottle, as well as beer, cider, cocktails, pudding wines, port or just coffee. The deli-counter and kitchen served charcuterie boards, artisan cheese, meats, patés and other dishes to share at any time plus a full a-la carte menu for lunch and dinner using the best well sourced ingredients.
