Although Nha Vien is diminutive , it can afford to express the high mind as welll as heart of its owner who has traveled around the country. He originates from the South, though always thinks of the North and wishes to adapt the culture of the three national regions into his garden . Hence,even though Phu Xuan Hall is the main structure; to its left,there is Tu Quang Hall of the South – Central style;to its right,there is Vong Son Pavilion that is the house in stilts imported form the distant Northwest. Opposite this pavilion, Nam Huyen Hall of traditional Southern style is found. Just hearing the Names, The descendats might recognize that the garden owner does not forget this origin. The Long Tri is the east water element corresponding to the Lonh Phong of the east. The mountain is erected with large rock accompanied by three small stone. On the foot of the mountain,there are three other stones to be seven . The seven represents the That Son mountain range – the main mountain of the South. The Long Tri and Linh Phong co-create the prosperous balance between such elements as water and mountain that is similar to the Virtue-Talent harmony-blessings to later generations. The small path named Bach Lien Hoa (Hundred lotus footsteps) leading from the main gate around the garden creates tortuousness for the landscape. Coming here,visitors might choose to slow down or to stop their to enjoy their hearts’ tranquility.That is also the implication of the word ‘’Nha Vien’’
