Based on Church Street next to the historic St Mary's Abbey, Boqueria serves modern tapas and world cuisine with the backdrop of one of the most beautiful view's in Howth. Having recently won the awards for 'Best World Cuisine' at the Irish Restaurant Awards and 'Ireland's Favourite Place to Eat' at the Keelings Gold Medal Award, Boqueria truly is an exciting new addition to the Howth Area. The concept for the restaurant evolved from Chef Matt Fullers time living and working in Spain, and his love for the 'Boqueria' food market. Located in La Ramblas, Barcelona, this food market is not just a place to visit, it's an experience. Famous for spices, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat & fish, amazing tapas and all things related to the best of Spanish Food. Chef Fuller and his business partners took this inspiration and decided that Dublin needed a restaurant of its own combining the Spanish and Irish Food ethos, without restricting themselves to any one style. The name Boqueria seemed like the perfect choice given the restaurant aspires also to offer its own unique experience in great modern cuisine & tapas, carefully chosen Spanish wines, enjoyed in an informal setting. In November 2016 the restaurant relocated from their original home in Stoneybatter to a larger, historic premises on Church Street in Howth allowing Chef Fuller and his team to spread their wings creatively in this beautiful new setting. Boqueria's 400 year old building comes with warm fireplaces, stunning sea views of Howth Harbour and the iconic Ireland's Eye in the distance. This beautiful building, steeped in history is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family in a cosy, comfortable setting.
