Café En Seine is a building that is steeped in Dublin’s rich history. Over 3 centuries of it! In 1798, after the aborted uprising, French prisoners of war were kept here. One of those awaiting removal back to France was a six-foot tall amazon of a woman who is believed to have been the inspiration for the Statue of Liberty. In the early nineteenth century it was a high-class bordello, one of the clients being King George IV. It later became occupied by a Mrs. Russell, a dressmaker, who once made a gown for Queen Victoria. It was a manufacturing hub and a clerical club, a doctor’s surgery and a bicycle shop, a piano warehouse and an automobile showroom. For a time, the Irish Government even resided here. Café En Seine is one of Dublin’s most popular drinks & nightlife venues. Voted Dublin’s 2015 City Bar Of The Year and here you’ll discover signature cocktails served with style. Craft beers on tap. French Champagne fused to create sparkling surprises. Gin concoctions bursting with botanicals. The purest of vodkas served just as they should be. And whiskeys… Irish, Scotch, American and Japanese… young, old and very old. A wine for every palate and bubbles for every occasion, all served with effortless charm in a lavish interior that is unmatched. We’ve got the largest drinks menu in Dublin, so whatever your taste, just ask. When you get here, stay a while and enjoy the late bar, open until 3am Wednesday to Saturday with the best music and DJ’s to keep the party flowing.
