The Bluet des Vosges® used to make Bay Bleue® liqueur is harvested by hand in the Vosges mountains overlooking Fougerolles, where the Emile Coulin distillery is located. Very resistant to the cold, this fruit, by its small size, acclimates perfectly to these neighboring mountains. Bluet is a wild blueberry from North America, cousin of the traditional blueberry. In order to protect this fruit, harvested in the Vosges since the 80s, the Bluet des Vosges® brand has been registered.
