Mara Organic Beef is certified organic beef produced on the rich farms on the edge of the Richmond Ranges, in Malangani in northern New South Wales (100 kilometers west of Byron Bay). The fertile soil, good pastures, torrents, and the warm subtropical climate of the northern rivers are ideal conditions for grazing luxury livestock. We are passionate about sustainable and ethical farming practices and offer great, clean organic meats. Mara Organic Beef is owned and operated by fourth generation farmer Stuart Larson and his family in Malangani. The Larson family has run a dairy herd since 1948, and in 1967 the first beef herd was introduced. Our herds today are EU certified of high quality organic beef finished in organic pastures and forage Mara Organic Beef produces animals according to premium market specifications. Offspring of Hereford and Hereford flocks are fattened into the carcass from 150 kg to 250 kg. We also produce organic cows to suit export specifications. Organic pastures are strictly monitored through soil management using composting and composting facilities.
