AKYEM A.Ş., established with the alliance between three brothers in 1979, started its activities by producing feed in a 500m2 of closed area on the highway between Adana and Mersin. During 1970s and 1980s, when both feed and feed manufacturing were not well-known, founders of Akyem A.Ş. introduced feed manufacturing in Adana by leading the sector and making a great effort in this respect. The firm started its operations in 1979 on the highway between Adana and Mersin on a leased land at the entrance of Zeytinli Village and continued its activities in a feed plant built at the Büyük Dikili road junction on the highway between Adana and Mersin. In the following years, the firm started to raise broilers and supply feed to other firms raising broilers in Adana and its activities became diversified.
