A few words about us How it all came to be… Café del Fraile, located in the Palacio Arzobispal [Archbishop’s Palace] in the Plaza de la Independencia, the main square of colonial Quito, opened on 15 May 2002. With this prime location, right in the hub of the old town, we have inherited the traditional legacy and our lives have been entwined with those of our beloved neighbours and visitors. Our main aim is to provide our service with quality and dedication, reflected in everything we make and sell, with first-rate products and optimum quality control.
