La Neta opened in the summer of 2009 and became the first real taquerían in Stockholm. La Neta means "the truth" or "the real deal" on Mexican slang. And that is exactly what we want our restaurant to be, a true Mexican taquería where, for a little while, you can forget that you are in Sweden. But being genuine is not enough for us, we also strive to be the best. We do not compromise on quality. That's why we decided to make our tortillas and salsas from scratch. Because there is no supplier that can beat our own quality. In Mexico, a taquería is a democratic eatery where all types of customers from different age groups and from different backgrounds meet. We want it to continue to be this way by keeping prices down and a non-pretentious atmosphere. That is exactly why we do not take any bookings.
