Sadler’s Brewery, based in Stourbridge, West Midlands has expanded its Brewhouse and Barbecue arm and chose Southampton for its first foray south. Sadler’s first opened in 1900 and the brewery supplied its twelve tied public houses run by the Sadler family. Though brewing stopped in 1927 the businesses remained in the family and the brewery was reopened in 2004. Now situated in Lye, in the heart of The Black Country, the business is thriving, supplying award winning craft beer throughout the UK and beyond. The new Brewhouse and Barbecue joint offers a range of nine Sadler’s Craft Ales (which you won’t be able to get anywhere else locally), an extensive range of craft beer, cider and lager on draught and 60 bottled beers (including ones from Weird Beard, Fixed Wheel and Hopcraft). We also have a comprehensive selection of quality spirits and an extensive wine list. The MENU features a wide choice of authentic American style barbecue food with something for everyone including vegetarians. Main courses start from £12.00 including ribs, pulled pork (done properly!), burgers, steaks and chicken wings with a variety of accompaniments. Desserts change weekly. Children are welcomed and can be catered for. American style barbeque (also ‘Que or ‘Cue) refers to a technique that involves cooking meat for long periods of time at low temperatures with smoke from a wood fire. This form of cooking adds a distinctive smoky taste to the meat and results in some real good eating. We have a Lounge Bar, Public Bar and Snug, like a proper pub. We can cater for large groups (special party platters available!), parties and events. We have free wi-fi, a plethora of seating and classic rock on the sound system.
