Just off Victoria Street near the Albert Dock, La Viña Liverpool is an uncompromisingly Spanish restaurant and bar. The restaurant is in the style of a traditional Mediterranean tavern, and every Thursday invites a Spanish guitarist and vocalist to wow diners. The menu at La Viña is bursting with Spanish flavour, from the Jamon Iberico, matured for a minimum of 36 months, to the paprika and garlic marinated pork ribs, which are cooked to a family recipe from the Spanish city of León. Paella Valenciana and a speciality paella ‘del dia’ are both cooked authentically in traditional paella pans, which also provide a theatrical serving dish for the ‘legendary’ king breakfast, featuring 6oz smoked bacon chop and Spanish black pudding. At La Viña restaurant in Liverpool, drinks are always flowing, whether it’s traditional sangria or one of an impressive selection of Spanish sherries, cavas and spirits, which include a 30-year rested sherry and a 10-year-old gran reserva brandy. Daily grazing menus offer a select 3 courses from the main menu, while big-group party menus are available for those celebrating a fiesta. Moorfields Station and Liverpool James Street Station are both within a 6-minute walk of La Viña, which occupies a busy spot near Liverpool One Shopping Centre.
