At I Love Sushi we use only the freshest ingredients in the market. All of our sauces and dressings are homemade. We have a large menu to offer. A little about us: My dad came to Costa Rica for the first time in 1992 on a surfing trip. On his third day here he called my mom and told her that we were moving here, so we moved. When my brother and I got here we were the first blonde kids in town. Kids would line up to touch our hair. My sister, on the other hand, was born here. My parents opened up several successful restaurants during the years. First “The Garden Café”, then “Lighthouse Point” and last “I Love Sushi”. “I Love Sushi” has been our biggest hit. People love the fresh fish that comes in daily and go crazy over our natural ginger. My dad passed away in 2013 after he lost his battle against cancer. He taught our staff and me everything about the restaurant business. He was a chef in the U.S. Coast Guard for many years and cooked in many well-known restaurants in Fl. The hardest thing I ever had to deal with was losing him. He was my mentor and everything a dad could be to his little girl. He was my pride and joy. My biggest satisfaction in life is that my baby girl got to meet the best Grandpa in the world. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t ask about him or mention his name. When he passed away we closed the restaurant for a while to get things back together. Now that he’s gone it’s my turn to take over and keep the family restaurant on its feet.
