The Latin Quarter Bistro & Wine bar is a charming bistro with a simple philosophy: ‘Source the very best of fresh ingredients and create food that is true and honest and combine flavours that work’. Diners can sit downstairs at the bistro and watch the world go by. The dining room on the 1st floor is intimate and charming with exposed stone walls and shuttered windows looking out onto the bustling Quay Street and its charming old medieval buildings. Wine. The wine list mostly consists of reasonably priced European wines and a few more up market houses such as our Chateau de Parenchere Bordeaux Superieur or our Sancerre La Guiberte. Wines are served by glass, carafe and bottle. Dinner – served Sunday to Thursday 5pm-9.30pm. Friday & Saturday 5-10pm. The dinner menu is a well thought out selection of modern Irish food with a French influence, with dishes such as Ham Hock terrine, Tartiflette, Moules frites, Silver Valley Lamb Rump, and not to forget our many specials, and the finest fish of the Galway shore. There is something for everyone as we happily cater for a coeliac diet.Lunch – served Friday & Saturday 12pm-3pm. Selection of dishes such as Fresh Fish & Chips, Smoked Chicken Salad, Fresh Seafood Chowder, Croque~Monsieur & many more. The Bistro is the ideal location to sit and indulge oneself and watch the world go by. Please note that our upstairs dining room is also available for private functions and can sit up to 28 guests. A set menu is available for large parties.
