Да-да, именно таковым и является ресторан «Pancho Villa» на метро Октябрьская! В 1997 году группа революционеров захватила подвал в одном из домов на Старом Арбате, где обосновала революционный штаб Панчо Вилья, который получил своё название в честь мексиканского революционера Панчо Франциско Вильи. Несколько лет тому назад штаб пришлось перенести на Los Yakimanos, т.е. Большую Якиманку, где он сегодня и находится. И до сих пор сюда ходят все, кому не терпится обсудить революционные новости, женщин, сальсу и текилу. Ресторан «Pancho Villa» на Большой Якиманке — это несколько подвальных залов, объединённых единой тематикой оформления. А она в Панчо Вилья весьма необычная: имеются настоящие камеры для заключённых, перед барной стойкой установлены сёдла, а стулья, выполненные в готическом стиле, украшены рисунками вскрытых черепов. Our restaurant, dedicated to the national hero, tells legends about Mexican revolution and gives every visitor an opportunity to feel himself a friend and companion of Doroteo Arango. Few people know that this was the name of our hero before the day when his friend Pancho Villa was killed by gringos. Doroteo swore to revenge his companion's death and took his name to preserve the memory about fearless Pancho, We decided to give his name to our restaurant-museum and the city where the Mexican hero was born. The museum is, first of all, the room of Pancho's grandmother and his cabinet. Discoloured walls bear old dusty pictures of Pancho's family and faithful friends, battle maps, flags and favorite weapons of the revolutionary. The air still smells gunpowder; be careful - these once shiny guns may fire even now! Pancho's house is a quiet and calm place, but the city! One can spend a good time in the prison, watch the photos of visitors and find himself among them; or buy a souvenir and present it to his beloved, saying that he has just returned from Mexico! In the church, no one will prevent you from drinking tequila, eating nachos and singing hymns of Mexican revolution. The street and tavern are always filled with excited visitors' voices and hot Latin rhythms and musicians' castanets. One is unlikely to find a place in Moscow which could be more harmonic and faithful to national Mexican traditions. The restaurant's interior is decorated in the spirit of pictures by Frida Cahlo and Diego Rivera; our dishes look and feel like actual pieces of arts. Pancho Villa invited the best cooks who are glad to offer you the most delicious dishes of Mexican cuisine, from quesadilla to fajitas every day.
