In September, Fitzroy welcomed a new gastronomic destination to the neighbourhood as Manpreet Sekhon, owner and executive chef of Eastern Spice in Geelong, opened MASTI. A promising addition to this trendy inner-city suburb, MASTI celebrates a modern take on Indian Cuisine. Following in the footsteps of its Geelong sibling, the new venue emulates Eastern Spice’s laid back and light-hearted atmosphere. With each visit, you’ll be met by a glowing red neon sign that will set the tone for your dining experience. Sekhon, also known in Geelong as the “Curry Queen,” will be at the helm in the kitchen and die-hard Eastern Spice fans will be pleased to see many of their favourites on the MASTI menu, including Scallop Coconut Curry, Crab Tikka and Green Chilli Naan.
