Family-run, with the father as the award-winning chef, this is Birmingham's first Nepalese Restaurant and is situated on busy Newhall Street. Its smart interior, with pale wooden floors, rust coloured banquettes and high backed dark brown leather chairs, also features intricate dark wood Nepalese carvings hanging on its pale walls. There are many familiar Indian dishes on the menu such as Paneer Tikka spiced with coriander, chilli and mint as well as Nepalese specials. Mains include regional classics like Lamb Shahi Pasanda in a creamy almond sauce or vegetarian dishes like Tama Aloo with bamboo shoots, potatoes and black eyed beans in a thick sweet and sour sauce.
