Epitomising Liverpool’s historic relationship with the British Raj, and taking its name from the famous E M Forster novel (as well as echoing what many a Liverpudlian of yesteryear would have scrimped and saved for, glancing wistfully at the steamers loading up at the docks), A Passage To India specialises in creating nostalgic Indian cuisine at its Ropewalks restaurant. It’s been on the bustling Bold Street block since 1987, and know that this precinct has become a household name among Liverpool’s foodies, A Passage Of India is set to clip the tickets of many more spice nuts and culinary voyagers yet.
