Since I was a teenager Ive been besotted with Italian people and their passion and verve for food, family and life itself. After meeting my Italian father and mentor Gennaro Contaldo in the kitchen of the Neal Street Restaurant in London in the 1990s, owning an Italian restaurant became a great dream of ours. The idea was to serve wonderful Italian food cooked with fresh, seasonal ingredients, in a welcoming atmosphere, and so Jamies Italian was born!
