The White Horse is a haven of Victorian grandeur, sited on the northern apex of leafy Parson's Green. In previous incarnations it has been both a gin palace and a coaching inn for travellers to rest their weary heads and refresh themselves before continuing their journeys. These days the White Horse is still in the business of refreshing people's bodies and souls and is a destination for lovers of fine food, fantastic beer and fabulous wine, with a dedicated dining area in the former coach house, a versatile upstairs bar (that can be transformed into various event spaces) and luxurious private dining area. The interior is a pleasing blend of traditional polished mahogany and wall panels, wood and flagstone floors, open fires and contemporary lighting; not to mention our famous daily BBQ and beer garden on Parson's Green. Placing an emphasis on training & education in the finer things in life, at the White Horse we run such events as Beer Academy Courses focusing on brewing, beer and its role in the current marketplace with an emphasis on beer & food matching. The White Horse is a centre of excellence for training & education, as we also hold regular wine & spirit sessions and tastings in our upstairs room.
