The Bluebird (Sinilind) is difficult to catch, however it is easy to find the way to the same name café-club in Tallinn. It is located right inside the city Eastern wall, near the entrance to the Hellemann tower and one of the most touristic streets called St Catherine’s Passage, the woolen sweaters market wall and remains from the XIII century Dominican monastery. During the last year or so this café and club has become one of the most popular and hip places of Tallinn. It hosts a restaurant, a cinema hall and a dance and live music stage. The guys who run Sinilind are also connected to another popular BoBo style place called Must Puudel. With the same randomly selected second hand, comfortable furniture, old fashioned carpets, books and magazines on the shelves, flower pots and hipster’s bikes as decoration. This place indeed has an easy-going atmosphere and it is perfect for a relaxing dinner in the company of good friends. As the restaurant is located under the same roof as Estonian Cinema House sometimes it’s possible to watch some Estonian retro or art house films. The place also hosts popular regular musical Quiz evenings on Wednesdays. On Friday and Saturday nights Sinilind is busy with live music gigs and DJ sets, with a wall to wall dispersion of music styles.
