The "Hofbräu am Dom", formerly "Gasthaus zur Hohen Lilie", is one of the oldest inns in Europe. After several renovations and renovations, the historic inn at Erfurt Cathedral opened in April 2017 with a new concept. Now guests are spoiled with Bavarian delicacies such as grilled chicken, pork knuckle, white sausage, Obatzda and pretzel. There are also Hofbräu beer specialties from Munich. The modern Bavarian interior is characterized by materials such as wood, stone, copper and wrought iron elements and thus combines tradition and modernity. The stone cellar vault with historical elements such as old gates provides an atmospheric atmosphere on wooden tables and chairs. The ground floor is divided into the front "pub area" and the rear flood with winter garden. Guests looking for peace and quiet can enjoy their Bavarian delicacies and a cool beer outdoors on the sun terrace in the courtyard. When the weather is nice, the beer garden with a view of the famous Erfurt Cathedral offers plenty of space. In the men's room on the first floor, guests are supplied with Hofbräu beers thanks to a copper dispensing system. The rooms on the second and third floors can be rented for celebrations of all kinds. Both areas impress with their historical atmosphere and are separated from the regular restaurant business. Buffets for larger events are possible on the two upper floors.
