One of the best and most popular restaurants in the city. There is a strict dresscode in the restaurant (no shorts and sleeveless shirts). One of the few places where Fidel Castro used to eat in public.La Ferminia is set in an elegant converted colonial mansion towards the end of Siboney (Flores). There is a lot of space both inside in one of a handful of beautifully furnished rooms, and outside on a large garden patio. This is quite a smart place, which used to have a dress code. The food is really the standard upmarket Cuban state place style, shrimp and lobsters and steak, much of which is grilled. It is not that it is bad, simply unexceptional and the décor looks a bit worn.
