Today, Pepa, with its first branch, Pendik, provides service to the regional lovers and continues to expand its production and distribution network in order to present these flavors to the wider masses with the same quality. Pepa was founded in January 2013 by Tekin Akhan of Yugoslavia and his wife Hülya, a food engineer, in Pendik. Originally a distant captain, Mr. Tekin decided to bring together his family's highly successful and experienced ladies in pastry after years of working at sea, and to create a brand that would best represent Bosniak Pastry, one of the valuable legacies of the Balkans. Pepa's permanent goal is to sign the most delicious Bosnian Pastry ever made with high quality raw materials and meticulous craftsmanship and to keep this tradition alive for generations.
