Gerentes Family olive trading tradition goes back five generations, when our grandfathers from a village near Amfissa – Fokis at central Greece, were among the first to trade olives outside Greece to other countries. Hand picked olives were gathered and packed in bags with salt, starting their trip to reach commercial centers at that time outside Greece. In a barter economy era where this trip needed six months at least and a lot of devotion introducing edible olives to people who never tasted them this way. Today, the succeeding generations still continue with the same passion and enthusiasm to serve our clients around the world for their olive needs, respecting tradition and above all, paying attention to the quality of the olives we offer.
