Wallonia has more than 7,000 km2 of agricultural area, on which 1.2 million cattle graze. If we find some foreign breeds such as Limousin, Salers, Charolais or Blanche d'Aquitaine, the Walloon star remains the Belgian Blue White (BBB), which alone accounts for 80% of the cattle herd. The many breeders, who often still work with their families, attach great importance to quality, service and animal welfare in harmony with biodiversity. In addition, the Walloon sector has implemented rigorous hygiene processes and has an optimal productivity and traceability capacity. In contrast to other countries, the majority of Walloon farms are ground-based, and cattle spend much of their existence on grassland. A non-negligible feature that qualifies Walloon production as "green", since it represents a lower carbon impact compared to intensive farming. But that's not all. Thanks to this grazing time, Blanc Bleu Belge meat is also of high quality, diversified and perfectly matches the taste of the consumer. It offers real nutritional benefits and an exceptional and varied taste quality: lean and tender or more tasty and marbled according to sex and fattening method. The quality of our beef is undeniable. It is already widely exported to Europe and the Walloon sector is now turning to new challenges to large export in countries such as Asia, the Middle East or the Gulf countries. In this context, AWEX, in collaboration with APAQ-W, is setting up a visibility campaign for Belgian beef at major international, European and extra-continental exhibitions
