Today's extremely modern enterprise has its origins in the Antwerp fish market where Maurice Mathieu started in 1933 with the insertion of herring. To make mops, the home-made mayonnaise and dressings were soon added, which still form the basis of the entire range. At the end of the 1950s, the company caused a furore by launching 'champignon à la grècque' and 'chicken curry' on the traditional market of sandwich fillings. Now many years later, the company is still in family hands and made the switch to the new business park in Zwijndrecht, ready for the future.
