CASA PAREJA has successfully embraced a holistic approach to sustainable agriculture, adopting environmentally-friendly practices based around recovering and reusing the by-products from the cultivation and production of oil (olive pomace) and wine. We compost pruning waste and olive pomace with cattle manure to obtain humus that we work into the soil to fertilise it; we use the olive pits as fuel and go so far as to hand-produce olive-oil based soap.
