Calexico is a small town on the border of California and Mexico. Take a step south and you’re in Mexicali Mexico; a step north, Calexico California. Everything about the place is a hybrid: the people, the language, and especially the food. To cut a long yet pretty cool story short, after missing our home town food having lived in New York for a while, we set up shop in Manhattan, selling tacos and burritos from a tiny street cart, we won kinda the ‘Oscars for street food’ and things got crazy! Fast-forward a few years. We’re still slinging tacos and burritos, only now we do it from a hand full of restaurants and bars: in New York, Detroit, and Bahrain. Our business has grown, but what we do hasn’t changed one bit. We still wake up every day and make the kind of food we like to eat for the kind of people we like to hang out with. We have been so exited to open up in Bahrain and we hope that you will enjoy the restaurant and bar in Adliya as much as we do, we think its pretty unique and we hope to see you down there some time soon.
