Hi, and welcome to The Ashvale! A visit to the Granite City should always include a trip to the original Ashvale in Great Western Road. It has led the way in presenting an enjoyable eating experience to so many. The Ashvale is as well known outside the city, as within and, as the customer comment slips will confirm, it is also a magnet for overseas visitors – definitely a “ must visit” on the tourist itinerary! Around 30,000 people each week join us at the Ashvale to make the most of our unique approach to fish and chips and will continue to do so for many years to come. After all who does not enjoy a fish supper? Some of the many famous faces who do and have stood in an Ashvale queue are: Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, Jack McConnell, Mel Gibson and many more . As you would expect in a traditional fish restaurant, the menu is predominantly a piscine one – haddock, cod, plaice, lemon sole, skate, turbot – but it is extensive and caters for all the tastes with steaks, chicken, salads, vegetarian and slimmer's’ meals. The principal menu is used as the foundation on which the specially priced menus and promotions that are regular features at The Ashvale are built. We spare no expense in the buying of our products in the pursuit of quality, it even takes precedence over speed of service. To this end, your meal is cooked to order and this inevitably increases the time you have to wait.
