In one of the oldest still existing parts of the first district, hidden between Mölkerbastei und Schottengasse, you find in the Mölker Hof the Restaurant Schubert. Already in the beginning of the 20th century, Alfred Kofranek established a cooking School at this site. Franz Zimmer founded in 1961 the legendary Schubertstüberl and with this, the first restaurant at this very place. Since 2010 the Restaurant Schubert is in the possession of the Vinum Wein Handels Ges.m.b.H, a South Tyrol based wine trader who has already several Bars and Restaurant in and around Bolzano. On this premises we try to combine traditional Viennese cuisine with the Mediterranean, suppliered by selected wines from Italy, Germany and needless to say Austria. Expect individual rooms like the ‘Barockstube’, spiked with frescos or the modern and cosy ambience of the ‘Kaminzimmer’, our quaint ‘Nußstube’ with here rustic composure. Moreover, in the summertime you can enjoy one of the cosiest Schanigarten in Vienna. Each room invites you to enjoy our delicacy with your families, friends and colleagues. Istvan Jung indulges you together with his team from the kitchen with the freshest ingredients and Florian Deutsch looks after you with the service team.
