Mozart is located in the "Korte Beenhouwersstraat", which is part of an alley alley complex in the historic center of Brussels, called "Ilot Sacré". During the Middle Ages, large sellers of goat and sheep meat, sausage manufacturers and pig carvers lived here. Mozart, known for its "ribs à volonté" is really in place here. Attractions in the area include the elegant bronze fountain of “the water-breathing girl” (Bergstraat), Jeanneke pis - at Delirium Village (Beenhouwersstraat between no. 10 and no. 12) and the famous Theater Toone (Korte Beenhouwersstraat no. 21), the royal puppet theater. Because of its culinary character, the district is sometimes called 'the stomach of Brussels'.
