I had planned on visiting Xarmientos after a recommendation in one of my Spain travel guides. So after seeing the prominent sights in the square, I shuffled along to Xarmientos. What a great experience! The lead waiter spoke good English and was very affable and patient. The food was phenomenal. My friend and I shared the Jamon Ibérico (we call it proscuitto here in the states) and the traditional bread crumb/chorizo/fried egg mix that i forgot the name of. Both blew expectations out of the water! My friend had the grilled octopus as his main and I had the grilled lamb and they were both excellent. Highly recommended!
