The Cruz is an experience like no other: what other restaurant is moored in Edinburgh The Cruz began its life as a cruise ship, was then used as a minesweeper and eventually was transformed into a piano bar, nightclub and restaurant complex. The restaurant is housed on one of the upper decks, with chic tables and pristine furniture to complement the light and airy atmosphere provided by the opposing windows. The menu is varied and uses the best local produce, such as for the Cruz oyster selection. Fish is popular here; moules Provencal and grilled Scottish salmon served with red peppercorns, brandy and cream are a delight, yet are equalled by the roasted rack of lamb or the prime fillet of beef topped with oyster mushrooms, fresh thyme and port sauce.
