The restaurant carries the name of a film which was produced by Alexander "Sasha" Kolowrat-Krakowsky in the 1920's. "Sasha" was the great uncle of Francesca Kolowrat, who is the creator and co-owner of the restaurant. She wanted to dedicate the place to her great uncle as an homage to him and his work. Because "Sasha" was also a car racer, the details in the interior were inspired by his passion. We can see a sgrafit of him in his racing car on the walls, as well as his lucky card symbols scattered around the restaurant in specific features-such as the neon lighting, coat hangers, lights or the seats which resemble those of a racing car. CAFE ELEKTRIC therefore carries the atmosphere of the 1920's with a modern twist in terms of the menu, bar and people.
