It was in 1954 that they moved to Montreal to open the first Dic Ann's restaurant. In fact, the first restaurant was a small hamburger stand erected at the corner of Papineau and Cremazie streets. Two years later, the success of this small restaurant had convinced them to move to Montreal-North. At first, the restaurant was only open during the summer as a 'drive-in' with drive-thru. Subsequently, it was renovated to be in operation all year round.
