The first "BIGIAKIS GALAKTOBOUREKO" Store opens in Peristeri, Attica and at the corner of Konstantinoupoleos and Chiou 3 streets. However, its history begins older, when in 1980 Ioannis Bigiakis, father of: Emmanuel Bigiakis to cooperate, they open a store in Byron with the object of making this particular dessert and with the title "The Milk Pudding of Byron". The special and meticulous construction of Galaktoboureko, its excellent quality, but also the care, diligence, honesty and the attitude of Ioannis Bigiakis towards the customers, make Galaktoboureko quickly known. At the same time, the above-mentioned sons: Emmanuel and Minas Bigiakis, while they are studying, help their father in the shop, he apprentices them with him in the art of Galaktobourekos and makes them love her. Thus, Emmanuel (Manos) Bigiakis, in October 1999 opens the first store "BIGIAKIS GALAKTOBOUREKO" in Peristeri, a small but very sweet and warm store characterized by the good taste of the owner, the perfect preparation of the products and the perfect service. Gradually, the efforts of MM for the careful preparation and distribution of its special products (galaktoboureko, baklava, kataifi, etc.) brought their results, it gained recognition and was accepted both in Peristeri and in the wider region of Attica.
