Hensons was founded in the 19th century by Joseph Lincoln Henson at Smithfield Market, the heart of the capital’s meat industry. Originally purveyors of tripe and offal, which was extremely lucrative in those days, the company then expanded in to traditional butchery and salt beef production, and by the 21st Century the company has expanded to offer a unique range of meat, chilled, cheese, deli and premium frozen for restaurants, casual dining and wholesalers throughout the UK. Today, Hensons is based in fashionable Kings Cross with an around-the-clock production unit, development kitchen, chilled storage facilities and one of the largest cold stores in central London. Hensons works with customers to provide the best service for their business from just-in-time or overnight deliveries to sourcing or creating the right product for the right price.
