El Catrin is a small restaurant in the heart of Paquis. Tucked away in a small side street, you might not notice it if you don't pay attention. But you should! The food is amazing. This place gave me the feeling of discovering a whole new continent on my taste map with ingredients and dishes I had never heard of before. The couple that runs this place is super friendly and took their time to go through the menu with us (despite the place being full with hungry people). Add to that the best margarita I have had in a long time (remember, this is not a bar but a tiny restaurant) and you have the perfect formula for a great evening. The place is, however, a bit small so if rock up with a large group you might not get a table.
