Japa Express Sushi Bar was opened in 1998 by Hajime Kikuchi. It is run by a husband and wife team, with Kikuchi as the chef. Having trained and worked in Japan, he brought to South Africa, and Japa, his wide knowledge and experience in Sushi, and today Japa’s Sushi is recommended by both Japanese, Chinese and Western clients. Maria, on the other hand, has worked to produce an excellent cuisine from the kitchens. Specially blended sauces and homemade noodles are the kitchen’s specialties.
