Today, the Punjab is the oldest North Indian restaurant in the UK, serving generations of diners in the heart of London’s theatre land. The restaurant boasts customers from all over the world and from all walks of life, including the local residents of Covent Garden, visitors & tourists, students as well as a host of doctors, lawyers and politicians. But back in 1946 when Sital’s grandfather was just starting out in the City of London, things were very different. Our award-winning menu combines traditional tandoori dishes with our Punjabi specialities to suit all tastes. The 'Acharri Gosht' made with pickled lamb has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime, the classic 'Kadu Pumpkin Sabhji' has a sumptuous mouth watering flavour and you can't miss Grandad's special 'Kali Daal'.
