There’s simply nothing quiet like kicking back with a steaming hot cup of Karak. The drink’s humble beginnings lie in the South Asian countries of India and Pakistan, a product of colonial times. The Karak drink we enjoy today is a modification of masala chai, which roughly translates to strong tea, and is a blend of black tea, condensed milk, sugar and cardamom. This simple drink has become an integral part of life in Qatar, enjoyed by many, young and old, local and expatriate.
