It all started at a family Christmas party with the recommendation that we should open up Happy Jack's in Houston. Not knowing what Happy Jack's was, we boarded a plane and traveled the 1000 kms to find out. This was the first step in realizing our dream of having our very own concept. Happy Jack's turned out to be a gem in much need of a face lift. Having been the local watering hole for 35 years the place was well worn and in need of a new identity. Seeing past the old carpet, wood walls and dim lighting there was potential in every corner. All that was needed was endless elbow grease and the will to bring the place back to life. So we said goodbye to the Lower Mainland, our jobs and our families, packed our things and together with our two daughters moved to the Great North. Since that time, we have developed our concept and continuously worked to bring new items to our menu and elements to our room. We've had amazing support from the community and have enjoyed the different pace of life and benefits of small town living.
