The Rummer Tavern is an independent, city centre pub with a history spanning back over three centuries. The interior is a bit dark, but this does add a sense of atmosphere, and the bar staff are knowledgeable and can recommend a good beer if asked. The menu here centres around the quick and easy; burgers, baguettes and steak & grills – and with Cardiff castle just opposite, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a refreshing pint before an afternoon of exploring the city centre sights.
